At the National Skills Council, gender mainstreaming is not just a policy commitment, it is a practical approach embedded in how we design, deliver, and evaluate our work. Gender mainstreaming ensures that the needs of both women and men are considered across all employment and HR policies and actions, strengthening fairness, effectiveness, and impact.
As Malta continues to navigate the future of work, shaped by digital, green, and social transitions, equality must remain central. Inclusive workplaces are more resilient, innovative, and better equipped to respond to change. Public policy plays a key role in advancing gender equality, and institutions must lead by example.
At NSC, we are actively embedding these principles internally. Through initiatives such as flexible working arrangements, including opportunities for remote work abroad, we are supporting a more inclusive and adaptable workforce. We are also strengthening transparency through data, publishing workforce and management composition to better understand representation and guide action.
This reflects our broader commitment to align with national efforts to promote awareness, accountability, and continuous improvement in gender equality.
By practising what we preach, NSC is contributing to a future of work that is not only skilled and competitive, but also fair, inclusive, and sustainable.
